Lake Mburo National Park is a national park located in western Uganda (4 hour drive from Kampala, the capital of Uganda). The park has a variety of animals such as zebras, impala, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. At 260 km², the park is the smallest of Uganda’s savanna national parks. The park has camp grounds and permanent tent facilities for visitors.
The park harbours several species of mammals including zebras, impalas, topi, elands and buffaloes. The bird population includes the rare Shoebill stork. Its sculpptured landscape with rolling hills and idyllic lakeshores has a varied mosaic of habitats: forest gallaries, rich acacia tree valleys, seasonal, and permanent swamps which all support a wealth of wildlife. The paark is only 370 sq km and one of the smallest of Uganda's Savannah national parks. Its mosaic habitat: dry hillside, rocky outcrops, bushes, thickets, open and woodd savannahs, forests, lakes and swamps are home to s surprising diversity of plants and animals.
It is Savanah type slightly undulating land. Facilities are basic with Bandas and tented camps in the centre of the park. There is a restaurant operated by the park rangers near the lake shore.
About 68 different species of mammals can be found within its 260km². The park also has approx. 313 different species of birds including Uganda's national emblem, the crested crane
