8 DAYS HIKE TO MOUNTAIN ELGON (aba 13)

Day 1 : Drive To And Have A Jinja Tour

Meet and greet at 8:30 and head to Jinja. On the way to Jinja visit the mystical Ssezibwa falls. You can therefore visit some of the exciting places in Jinja town with the help of our drivers. The places may include the source of the Nile and Bujagali Falls. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort. 

Day 2 : Mabira Forest Walks, Cultural Dance Tour and Water Sports

Early in the morning after breakfast you will enjoy visiting Mabira Forest for an interesting forest walk. Return to Jinja for lunch and after lunch you will enjoy traditional dances by the local Basoga people at the Bujagali falls. Here there are many options; such as swimming, boat rides, floating on the mighty Nile. In the evening return for the dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort.

Day 3 : Sipi Falls Tour

After early breakfast leave for Mt. Elgon in Eastern Uganda. Transfer to Sipi Falls. After lunch, hike to the falls and then return to your camp next to Sipi Falls for dinner and overnight. 

Day 4 : Mountain Elgon Tour Activities

The popular forest exploration center trail loop site can make one enjoy the cool mist at Chebonet falls, Kapkwai cave, the talking tree and a spectacular view point, which lies just beyond.  

Day 5 : Mountain Elgon Hiking Safari

Hike up to the rim of the calderas through beautiful columns of lobelia Elgonensis. Visit the hot springs and Suam Gorge

Day 6 : Jackson Summit

After breakfast, then ascend to the top of the caldera to the Waggling peak at 4321m, Descend therefore through the Jackson Summit and the Jackson pool and overnight at Mude Camp 3500m.

Day 7 : Descend The Sasa Trail to Budadiri

Early morning after breakfast, descend through the Sasa trail to Budadiri then travel to Mbale town and then to Kampala to prepare for your departure. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana in Kampala.

Day 8 : Kampala City Tour

Mid morning proceed for a tour of Kampala city. Among the attraction are Kabaka’s lake, Cathedrals, Kisingiri house, Kasubi Tombs, Makerere University, Uganda museum and the Bahai temple. Also you can make shopping at the Uganda Crafts village where you can buy curios, souvenirs and mementos to remind you of your Uganda tour and also as gifts for your family and friends back home.
